Flea Markets and Craft Fairs Do you want to set-up a table at a flea market or craft fair? Here are a few things you might want to consider.

A craft fair displays hand-made items, while flea markets sell new or used products. Attend a few events before you display your wares as a vendor. See what’s out there. As you peruse the isles or stalls of vendors in any given event take notes on the following:

What’s hot, what’s not.

What vendor is drawing the customers?

What are they selling?

Do they advertise specials?

Does the vendor have a corner spot?

Are the displays attractive?

How is customer service?

These are a few questions you have to ask yourself when planning your sale.

Experience has taught me the following golden rule, start small, end large. Start with local churches and charity events. Get your feet wet if this is your first time in the business. Check your local pennysaver or newspaper to find an event in your area or log onto uRummage.com for a listing of events within the United States.
