Issues that one should be aware of when having a rummage sale
When planning to have a sale people are concerned with when are we going to have a sale, where are we going to have it and what are you going to sell. Sometimes we forget about the minor details that could lead into bigger issues.
We have been asked about what type of issues one should be aware of when having a rummage sales. So in an effort to give our readers something to think about we have come up with a couple of points that should be considered.
In some states and counties, garage sales are regulated by the government. You might have to file paperwork in order to have your garage sale.
When holding a garage sale, make sure that you aren’t accidentally using your neighbors’ property for your own benefit.
Make sure that someone regulates where visitors are parking their cars so you don’t block your neighbors’ driveways or fire hidrants.
I know that it sounds interesting, but some neighborhoods have rules against garage sales in their homeowners guidess.
This is the start of a list to help you in your preparation in having a sale. There are articles on the web that cover this topic but they all cover the same issues. We kept it short and simple. Please keep in mind that rules are different everywhere so you need to do your homework before having a sale. Let us know if you have any additional questions or have any items that you would like to add to the list.
Thank You,
